Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Irania mobile application ("App") or any related services operated by Irania ("we," "us," "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Irania, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old, have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, and agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. If you are using Irania on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Description of Service
Irania is a bilingual (English and Persian) community directory mobile application that allows users to:
- Browse and search Persian-owned businesses and services by city and category.
- View business listings on an interactive map.
- Save businesses to a personal favourites list.
- Discover local events and cultural happenings.
- Access educational resources for newcomers.
- View and redeem exclusive deals ("Iraniantastic Deals") from participating businesses.
- Submit business listings and deals for community consideration.
The App is provided free of charge. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without prior notice.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features (such as Favourites and business submission), you must create an account using Firebase Authentication, including Google sign-in. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful registration information.
- Maintain the security of your account credentials.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activity.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Irania only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent business listings or deals.
- Use the App to harass, defame, or harm any individual or business.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its infrastructure.
- Scrape, harvest, or copy data from the App without our written permission.
- Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or any code designed to disrupt or damage the App.
- Use the App to send unsolicited commercial communications (spam).
- Impersonate any person, business, or entity.
- Violate any applicable local, provincial, national, or international law or regulation.
Violations of this section may result in immediate account suspension and, where appropriate, reporting to law enforcement authorities.
5. Business Listings & Submissions
Irania's business listings are provided by business owners, workers, and community members. We do not independently verify all submitted information. By submitting a business listing, you represent that:
- You are authorized to submit information about the business.
- All information provided is accurate, current, and not misleading.
- You will promptly notify us of any changes to the listing information.
We reserve the right to approve, reject, edit, or remove any listing at our sole discretion, including but not limited to listings that are inaccurate, duplicates, offensive, or irrelevant to the community directory.
Disclaimer: Irania is a community directory. We do not endorse, guarantee, or warrant any business listed on the platform. Users are encouraged to independently verify business information before making decisions.
6. Iraniantastic Deals
"Iraniantastic Deals" are promotional offers submitted by businesses and published by Irania administrators. By participating in a deal (as a business or user), you acknowledge that:
- Deals are subject to change or cancellation at any time by the participating business or by Irania.
- Irania makes no guarantees regarding deal availability, accuracy, or fulfillment.
- Any dispute regarding a deal must be resolved directly with the business offering it.
- Irania is not liable for any loss or dissatisfaction arising from the use of any deal.
Businesses that submit deals represent that the offers are genuine, authorized, and that the business will honor the deal as described.
7. User-Generated Content
When you submit business listings, deals, or any other content ("User Content") through Irania, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content within the App and related promotional materials.
You retain ownership of your User Content. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of any content you submit. We may remove User Content that violates these Terms at any time without notice.
8. Intellectual Property
The Irania name, logo, app design, source code, and all proprietary content are the intellectual property of Irania and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our written consent.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any business listings or deal information.
- The uninterrupted or error-free operation of the App.
- The fitness of the App for any particular purpose.
- The security of data transmitted through the App.
Your use of the App is at your sole risk.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IRANIA AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM:
- Your use of or inability to use the App.
- Reliance on any business listing, deal, or content within the App.
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data.
- Any other matter relating to the App.
In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (which, given that the App is free, is CAD $0).
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Irania at any time and for any reason, including violation of these Terms, without prior notice. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections 7, 8, 9, 10, and 12 survive termination.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Irania shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our service or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App. Your continued use of Irania after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the App.
